The Star TSP847IIRx has been developed specifically for situations where security is a concern. A key lock secures the paper chamber, meaning the paper roll within cannot be removed from the printer without authorisation. This makes it ideal for printing security passes, prescriptions and other sensitive documents, particularly if using paper that has a special pre-printed design on it. A Kensington cable lock slot means the unit can be anchored for increased security.

With its compact clamshell design, the Star TSP847IIRx takes up little space even on the busiest of desks or countertops. It prints on 112mm wide thermal paper at an impressive 150mm/s. Auto zoom software allows it to perfectly scale A4 printouts to A6 size. Print output is a crisp and clear 203dpi, sharper than most standard inkjet printers.

Drop-in paper loading cuts downtime to a minimum. The autocutter reduces the risk of accidentally torn receipts and wasted paper, and is designed to prevent paper jams. A wide range of operating systems are supported including iOS, Android, Windows and Macintosh.
